Picture this; you place your gorgeous Staub French made cocotte on the dinner table to a gaggle of hungry mouths (yes, a "gaggle"). That alone is met with a combined gasp - you teasingly lift the lid, steam rises, as does the aroma of a perfectly braised beef bourginon, or smoked paprika seared chicken thighs, or a vegetarian bean cassoulet. No matter what, all perfectly moist, bursting with flavour and nutrients. Clearly I love mine, I'm confident you'd feel the same. Here's why;

  • PERFECT for stews, roasts, soups, casseroles and all types of braised meats, even bread!
  • From stove top, to oven, to table. A Staub cocotte makes a stunning serving dish.
  • Staub enamel is almost indestructible and wont discolour.
  • It’s HEAVY, you want that. Weight means even, PREDICTABLE cooking results - that's what commercial grade cookware does. It also keeps your food warm at the table.
  • The special ceramic bottom means you can use it on ALL heating surfaces, including induction.

 Why Staub is the world's BEST (yep, better than Le Crueset)

  • Staub cocotte interiors are black triple coated enamel and never stain, Le Crueset are off-white and stain.
  • The slightly rough interior surface of Staub cocotte's create a far superior searing surface versus the mirror-liked finish of Le Crueset.
  • Staub cocotte's have flat lids with trademarked self-basting spikes. Independent tests have shown this keeps food 9 times more moist than Le Crueset’s domed lids that transfer moisture from the lid to the outside of the food.
  • Staub’s knobs are brass or nickel steel, Le Crueset uses phenolic resin knobs.
